The much-anticipated movie adaption of the popular German fantasy novel, Die Schule der magischen Tiere, has begun to fill out its cast. Directed by acclaimed director and writer Sven Unterwaldt, this dynamic new film promises to bring the world of magic, mystery and the animal kingdom to life.

At the head of the cast is rising star Aron Lehmann in the role of Amadeusz, a natural-born animal whisperer with a deep connection to nature. Aiding and abetting Amadeuze are his three best friends; Henning, portrayed by Paula Kalenberg, as the strong and loyal muscle of the group; Thu Quỳnh, who plays the eccentric and intelligent scientist, Yabalou; and Timo, played by Marvin Linke, as the most easy-going of the foursome.

The team, who are tasked with entering the mysterious School of Magic Animals, are fought by the forces of The Dark Brotherhood, led by celebrated young German actor Max Hubacher as Haroldsohn. In true villainous fashion, he serves as the antagonists of the movie, with a slew of other recognisable character actors providing support.

Alongside Amadeusz and his cohorts, we also see established German television star Luise Befort as Maximiliane, and her companion Yosef, played by Amadeusz’s IRL brother, Lukasz Tracz.
